Proraso is a classic soap and still manages to be one of the top performers out there. The red option offers a very earthy sandalwood scent that, if you're not prepared for, can hit you hard. If you're looking for a sweeter sandalwood scent, then this is not it. However, it does leave your face feeling very moisturized, living up to its advertisement from that aspect. Proraso is great with its lather building as well, requiring very little effort. This was the first soap I got in wet shaving, along with the green formulation, and honestly will continue to be in my den.
Excellent shave soap! First of all, it produces a lot of lather and makes for a comfortable shave. The moisturizer works well and the added bonus is it lasts a long time. I always lather up and shave twice and even with that routine the jar lasts 6 months or more. Great product and what I now use to judge all the rest.
